I grew up in Concord California and bought a home here in early 2019.
My career began in the public sector. I worked with K-12 administrators and faculty to solve complex learning learning challenges with their at-risk student population. Most of my time was spent creating curriculum, analyzing trends, and providing consultative, train-the-trainer services to faculty and staff. I loved this role, but I was ready for more challenging work.
I’ve worked on large-scale projects like employee onboarding and one-off projects like software demos. As I developed in my career, I noticed that most of my solutions gravitated toward some form of eLearning. Most of my expertise at that time involved curriculum development and deployment for Instructor-led Training, so I had to ramp up quickly.
Saint Mary’s College taught me how to transfer learning to all audiences- from pedagogy (youth) to andragogy (adults). I earned a Master’s in Education while simultaneously working full-time as a Learning Specialist. Boise State taught me how to apply sound Instructional Design principles across all mediums.
